BAILARINES - LI BLANCO NOS HABLA DE LA OBRA
Hoy la artista Boliviana Li Blanco nos habla de su obra.
La obra tiene unos colores chillones, muy vivos, tiene contraste de colores cálidos y fríos. Varias figuras en movimiento , bailarines danzando la entrada del carnaval paceño, chutas, cholitas, pepinos con su chicotes, muy coloridos, debajo un estallido de colores que representa toda la alegría del carnaval.
El carnaval paceño consiste en una alegre entrada que inicia un domingo antes de carnaval, con el desentierro del pepino. Continua el sábado con la entrada del corso infantil. El domingo de carnaval, chutas, cholas y pepinos desfilan con sus respectivas fraternidades a ritmo de Morenada, Kullawada, Caporal, Saya Afroboliviana, Moceñada, Tarkeada, etc. El lunes la tradicional Jisq´a Anata, donde se festeja la llegada de la temporada de la tentación, una semana después de carnaval, se entierra al pepino y martes de challa . El martes de challa es una ofrenda a la madre tierra, Muchos queman una mesa dulce en un ritual de reciprocidad con devoción. Se utiliza para la challa: serpentinas, globos, pétalos de diferentes flores, petardos, cohetillos y el confite.
El pepino es la protagonista de este carnaval, tiene apariencia a un payaso, viste un llamativo traje bicolor y mantiene un talante resueño y atrevido va danzando al ritmo de bombos y platillos, es muy travieso golpea con un chorizo a los espectadores de la entrada y salpica con un preparado a base de harina.
El domingo de tentación concluye el carnaval con el entierro del pepino, cholitas y chutas se visten de negro, fingiendo luto y junto con la multitud simulan llanto mientras cargan la tumba donde yace el disfraz del pepino. Luego de un largo recorrido, entierran sus restos en el cementerio general de la ciudad de la paz.
El carnaval es la fiesta mas esperada por los bolivianos y en cada lugar del país lo festejan de diferente forma, pero con el mismo entusiasmo.

On Temptation Sunday the carnival concludes with the burial of the cucumber, cholitas and chutas dress in black, feigning mourning and together with the crowd simulate crying while carrying the grave where the cucumber costume lies. After a long journey, they bury his remains in the general cemetery of the city of peace.
Carnival is the most anticipated party by Bolivians and in each part of the country they celebrate it in a different way, but with the same enthusiasm.
