La obra de arte “Diego y yo” fue subastada este martes en 35 millones de dólares, en Sotheby’s en Nueva York. Es una de las últimas creaciones de Frida, en 1949.
Este lienzo representa la difícil relación que ambos
artistas mantuvieron. la obra fue pintada el año que Diego Rivera tuviera un romance
con María Félix, este impactante retrato representa el dolor y tristeza que tenía
la artista.
La pintura tuvo un precio de salida de 30 millones de dólares,
este cuadro muestra a la artista de
frente y en su frente, más pequeño, el retrato de Diego Rivera. Logro ser
rematada por 34,9 millones de dólares, convirtiéndola en la artista latinoamericana
más cotizada. Destronando a su marido que llego a vender “Los Rivales” en 10 millones de dólares en
2018.

de la artista mexicana que más se cotizo hace 5 años, fue subastada en 8
millones de dólares.
La casa de subastas ha especificado que el empresario
Eduardo Constantini, un reconocido coleccionista de arte y fundador del Museo
de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires (MALBA), ha sido quien ha comprado la
obra para su colección privada.
Anna di Stasi, responsable de Arte Latinoamericano en
Sotheby’s. expresa “ esta noche se podría definir como la máxima venganza, pero
de hecho es la máxima validación del extraordinario talento de Kahlo”.
