Hoy viajamos a México a conocer a la artista plástica Gloria Niebla Gonzalez

 Gloria Niebla González nace en la ciudad de Tijuana, BC., México. Donde inicia profesionalmente su actividad en el arte, en el año de 1988 pasa a ser miembro activo de los talleres de artes plásticas y de diseño gráfico de la Casa de la Cultura de Tijuana en la colonia independencia, impartidas por el excelente maestro Carlos Castro, que despertó en ella aún más el gusto por el arte, ahí comienza un camino bastante más amplio donde empieza a relacionarse con gente de ese medio y surgen sus primeras invitaciones para participar en numerosas exposiciones colectivas.

Empieza su carrera artística como pintora realista, enfocándose en temas relacionados con la mujer, su trabajo ha estado en un constante cambio evolutivo, actualmente su pintura está más enfocada en el expresionismo abstracto contemporáneo utilizando diferentes técnicas, su crecimiento como artista continúa su búsqueda. 

La pintura es una de las expresiones más importantes del ser humano, ya que desde tiempos remotos se utilizó como un medio para expresar los estados de ánimo de cada persona, además es un agente transmisor de la personalidad de cada ser; por eso para ella el pintar es algo esencial en el transcurso de su vida y crear consciencia a través del arte, el plasmar a la mujer en algunas de sus obras significa la grandeza y el origen de la existencia humana.

¿Como fue tu primer acercamiento con las artes plásticas?

Mi primer acercamiento a las artes fue en mi niñez, durante mi infancia cuando me podía pasar horas y horas pintando dibujando y prefería colores, pinturas pinceles en lugar de un juguete. Formalmente a la edad de 18 años entro a estudiar los talleres de Artes Plásticas y Diseño Gráfico en la Casa de la Cultura de la Cd. De Tijuana B.C. durante ese proceso empiezo a relacionarme con gente del medio artístico quienes me hacen invitaciones a participar en exposiciones colectivas y ahí es donde empieza mi camino en este mundo del arte.

¿Cuándo fue que decidió convertirse en artista?

A la edad de 20 años empezó a trabajar haciéndo lo que más me gustaba impartiendo clases de pintura y dibujo a grupos de niños jóvenes y adultos, al mismo tiempo inicio mi carrera de diseño de interiores y eso me lleva a relacionarme cada vez más con el arte. La vida esta echa de momentos y uno de los momentos más importantes de mi vida es cuando decido dedicarme a esta profesión

¿Que tratas de representar en tus obras?

Mi obra ha estado en constante evolución, al principio de mi carrera en la mayoría de mis obras aparece la mujer y las raíces, el mostrar a la mujer en muchas de mis piezas significa el origen y el principio de la existencia humana así como "Reconocer la participación de las  mujeres en el arte es de suma importancia" resaltar el inmenso valor creativo en sus obras además a través de la historia del arte se puede constatar como la mujer ha sido gran protagonista por su papel de musa e inspiración asi como creadora de su propias obras.

El impresionismo por su parte es una época donde empiezan a surgir más artistas reconocidas, varias de ellas alumnas de los grandes pintores de la época.

Actualmente estoy más enfocado en el arte abstracto y en crear conciencia a través de mi obra la serie de Océanos trajo a mi vida cosas positivas y crecimiento profesional, el poder comunicar a través de estas obras lo importantes que es cuidar y conservar nuestro planeta, levantar la voz de nuestros mares y de todos los seres que viven en ellos con estas piezas es algo que me llena de satisfacción por crear conciencia "Todos somos responsables de nuestro planeta".

¿En qué te inspiras? Y que artista te ha inspirado

La inspiración llega de diferentes maneras, muchas veces el visitar alguna galería eso influenye para crear tus futuras obras, o simplemente llega en el momento menos esperado y ahí es cuando debes tomar tus herramientas de trabajo un pincel o alguna espatula y empezar a  manchar un lienzo y eso muchas veces te lleva a lograr grandes creaciones. Admiro a muchos Artistas y cada uno de ellos me ha aportado cosas diferentes muchos de ellos han sido una influencia a través de los años para crear mis propias obras. Actualmente podría decir que existen Artistas locales con una  gran trayectoria que han logrado transmitir sus conocimientos a través de sus obras a las nuevas generaciones.

¿Te gusta combinar texturas?

Si, el combinar el color con una textura es una sensación distinta al trabajar sobre una tela lisa, el utilizar técnicas mixtas o diferentes técnicas en una sola pieza muchas veces hace que se logren efectos visuales o sensaciones que llegan al espectador de una forma más directa y agradable al admirar la obra, el despertar o mover sentimientos y transmitir con la obra un mensaje o conectar con el espectador hace que nosotros como artistas nos sintamos satisfechos con nuestro trabajo

¿Con que materiales te sentís más cómoda?

He conocido y trabajado con muchas técnicas pero entro en mi zona de confort con la pintura acrílica ya que es una técnica de secado rápido y eso me permite trabajar con mayor rapidez y asi poder iniciar con la el siguiente pieza.

Contanos sobre tus proyectos para este año

Durante este año he logrado realizar exposiciones semi presenciales a pesar de lo difícil que ha sido por la pandemia, la primera exposición colectiva que

Se realizo fue "Mujeres unida somas mas fuertes" con la participación de 9 artistas mujeres en el mes de marzo durante la celebración del día de la mujer, exposición que se llevo a cabo en la sala "Alvarez  Malo" en la Casa de la Cultura de playas de Tijuana donde estamos trabajando en un proyecto de realizar dos murales dentro y fuera de las instalaciones. La siguiente Exposición Colectiva Binacional "Sin fronteras" se llevo a cabo durante el mes de mayo con la participación de 6 artistas con una misma visión crear arte y con una gran trayectoria, la más reciente es la Exposición Colectiva Internacional "Unidos por La Cultura" con grandes maestros en Malaga España en la sala de exposiciones "Antonio Segovia Lobillo" permanecerá expuesta hasta el 18 de julio.

Como surgió la idea de llevar el arte a los niños y crear tu escuela de arte?

Llevamos una trayectoria de mas 30 años y recorriendo este camino del arte, durante este largo tiempo hemos tenido la fortuna y la oportunidad de conocer a mucha gente que también le apasiona el arte y que me han permitido compartir mis conocimientos con ellos a través de mis talleres de dibujo y pintura. He tenido la dicha de formar nuevas generaciones en el arte  para mi es una gran satisfacción el ver como van evolucionando y ver que cada día que pasa  se van apasionado cada vez mas con lo que hacen, el compartir una sala de exposición con algunos de ellos me llena de emoción y mucha satisfacción. El iniciar muy joven con mis talleres de pintura me dio la oportunidad de ver a muchos de mis alumnos como han podido sobresalir en el arte y que actualmente algunos de ellos se dedican a esta profesión o trabajan en algo relacionado con el arte

Contanos un poco de tus obras

El arte ha sido un medio de comunicación, pintar emociones, sentimientos, expresar con líneas, trazos y colores, exteriorizar lo que sentimos, dedicarme a lo que más amo, una profesión con todo lo que implica con altas y bajas pero volteó atrás y veo que ha valido la pena.

Gloria Niebla González was born in the city of Tijuana, BC., Mexico. She began her artistic career as a realist painter, focusing on issues related to women, her work has been in constant evolutionary change, currently her painting is more focused on contemporary abstract expressionism using different techniques, her growth as an artist continues her search.

Painting is one of the most important expressions of the human being, since since ancient times it was used as a means to express the moods of each person, it is also a transmitting agent of the personality of each being; That is why for her painting is something essential in the course of her life and creating consciousness through art, capturing women in some of her works signifies the greatness and origin of human existence.

How was your first approach to the plastic arts?

My first approach to the arts was in my childhood, during my childhood when I could spend hours and hours painting drawing and I preferred colors, paint brushes instead of a toy. Formally at the age of 18 he began to study the Plastic Arts and Graphic Design workshops at the Casa de la Cultura of the City of Tijuana B.C. During this process, I began to interact with people from the artistic environment who invited me to participate in group exhibitions, and that is where my path in this world of art began.

When did you decide to become an artist?

At the age of 20 he began to work doing what I liked the most, teaching painting and drawing classes to groups of young children and adults, at the same time I started my interior design career and that leads me to interact more and more with him. art. Life is made up of moments and one of the most important moments of my life is when I decide to dedicate myself to this profession

What are you trying to represent in your works?

My work has been in constant evolution, at the beginning of my career, women and roots appear in most of my works, showing women in many of my pieces signifies the origin and beginning of human existence as well as "Recognize The participation of women in art is of the utmost importance "to highlight the immense creative value in their works, and through the history of art it can be seen how women have been a great protagonist due to their role as muse and inspiration as well as creator of his own works.

Impressionism, for its part, is a time when more recognized artists began to emerge, several of them students of the great painters of the time.

Currently I am more focused on abstract art and on creating awareness through my work the Oceans series brought positive things to my life and professional growth, being able to communicate through these works how important it is to care for and conserve our planet, to lift the voice of our seas and of all the beings that live in them with these pieces is something that fills me with satisfaction for creating awareness "We are all responsible for our planet".

What do you draw inspiration from? And what artist has inspired you

Inspiration comes in different ways, many times visiting a gallery that influences to create your future works, or it simply comes at the least expected moment and that is when you should take your work tools, a brush or a spatula and start staining a canvas. and that many times leads you to achieve great creations. I admire many Artists and each one of them has brought me different things, many of them have been an influence over the years to create my own works. Currently, I could say that there are local artists with a great career who have managed to transmit their knowledge through their works to the new generations.

Do you like to combine textures?

Yes, combining color with a texture is a different sensation when working on a smooth fabric, using mixed techniques or different techniques in a single piece often results in visual effects or sensations that reach the viewer in a more direct way. and pleasant when admiring the work, awakening or moving feelings and transmitting a message with the work or connecting with the viewer makes us as artists feel satisfied with our work

With what materials do you feel most comfortable?

I have known and worked with many techniques but I enter my comfort zone with acrylic paint since it is a quick drying technique and that allows me to work more quickly and thus be able to start with the next piece.

Tell us about your projects for this year

During this year I have managed to hold semi-face-to-face exhibitions despite how difficult it has been due to the pandemic, the first group exhibition that It was carried out was "Women united somas stronger" with the participation of 9 female artists in the month of March during the celebration of Women's Day, an exhibition that took place in the "Alvarez Malo" room at the Casa de la Cultura from Tijuana beaches where we are working on a project to make two murals inside and outside the facilities. The next Binational Collective Exhibition "Without Borders" was held during the month of May with the participation of 6 artists with the same vision to create art and with a great trajectory, the most recent is the International Collective Exhibition "United for Culture" with great masters in Malaga Spain in the exhibition hall "Antonio Segovia Lobillo" will remain on display until July 18.

How did the idea of ​​bringing art to children and creating your art school come about? We have a history of more than 30 years and traveling this path of art, during this long time we have had the fortune and the opportunity to meet many people who are also passionate about art and who have allowed me to share my knowledge with them through my drawing and painting workshops. I have had the happiness of training new generations in art, for me it is a great satisfaction to see how they evolve and to see that each day that passes they become more and more passionate about what they do, sharing a showroom with some of them. It fills me with emotion and a lot of satisfaction. Starting very young with my painting workshops gave me the opportunity to see many of my students how they have been able to excel in art and that some of them are currently engaged in this profession or work in something related to art

Tell us a little about your works Art has been a means of communication, painting emotions, feelings, expressing with lines, strokes and colors, expressing what we feel, dedicating myself to what I love the most, a profession with all that it implies with ups and downs but I turned back and I see it was worth it.
