¿Conoce el Derbake?
El derbake es un instrumento de percusión
de origen árabe usado en todo el oriente medio y Magreb. Pertenece a los grupos
de los tambores de copa. El origen de este instrumento se remonta a la
antigüedad babilónica.
Es un tambor de un solo parche
con forma de copa, originalmente se usaba greda o arcilla, para armar el cuerpo
o la caja de percusión y cuero de cabra para el parche, pero también se suele
usar madera o metal para su fabricación. En la actualidad es común el uso de
fundición de aluminio o fibra de vidrio para la caja de resonancia, ya que no
le afectan las condiciones climáticas como humedad.
Para poder ejecutar el
instrumento se suele colocar sobre ambas piernas o entre los muslos. Para
tocarlo se utiliza los dedos y las palmas.
