ARTISTAS DEL MUNDO - MÉXICO

Miguel Guadagnini pintor nacido en la Ciudad de México apasionado por el realismo, la figura humana y la búsqueda de la excelencia en la ejecución.

Ha tomado seminario con grandes maestros Mexicano cómo Hilda Márquez, Omar Ortíz, José Miguel Villalba y Francisco Vázquez que son grandes exponentes a nivel mundial del arte mexicano.

Diseñador gráfico de profesión que como muchas historias más se encontró con un 2020 que trajo consigo una pandemia que vino a cambiar el rumbo de su vida, ahora enfocado 100% al arte y crear con cada píncelada obras que transmiten con gran realismo la belleza de nuestro mundo.

¿Como nace tu interés por el arte?

Desde niño me ha gustado mucho el arte, en ese entonces era mi facilidad por el dibujo y lo hacía todo el tiempo, esa pasión por crear me hizo estudiar la licenciatura en Diseño Gráfico y Comunicación Visual, en ese entonces entré a tomar clases de pintura en el estudio de la pintora Hilda Márquez ahí fueron mis primeros trazos, aunque nunca había tomado un pincel en mi vida, ella me dijo: ‘la pintura es algo que tú ya traes’ y me sugirió dedicarme a la misma, pero en ese momento para mí la pintura era sólo un hobby y quise ejercer mi carrera y así ha sido por 15 años.

¿Qué factores marcaron tu camino?

Como te comentaba aunque la pintura me apasionaba la dejé por mucho tiempo y fue justamente en el 2020 cuando empezó la pandemia y por ende el confinamiento lo que me hizo retomar los pinceles, empece a compartir mi trabajo y fueron muchas las personas que me dijeron que debería tomarlo como un modo de vida y así lo hice.

¿Quienes son tus referentes artísticos?

Primeramente tengo que agradecer a Hilda Márquez que fue la que me inició en este bello arte, después uno de los que más me marcaron fue cuando conocí la obra del Maestro Santiago Carbonell, para mi de los mejores hiperrealistas que hay y me inspiró a orientarme a la figura humana.

A partir de ahi me apasioné por ir perfeccionando mi manera de pintar y lograr más profundidad en la forma de trabajar la piel, aprendí el uso de veladoras de color con grandes maestros del hiperrrealismo como Omar Ortíz, José Miguel Villalba y Francisco Vázquez los 3 grandes Maestros hiperrealistas Mexicanos con los cuales tomé seminarios presenciales y aprendí muchísimo.

¿Cuál de tus obras es la favorita? por qué?

Creo que cada pieza que hago me gusta más que la anterior porque veo una evolución en mi trabajo y me permite ver que si he estado desarrollando un estilo propio, definitivamente mi consentida es la Frida que pinté porque apliqué varios estilos para crearla y representa grandemente cultura de mi país no solo a ella, tiene elementos gráficos que me recuerdan mis raíces y con orgullo puedo mostrar al mundo un poquito de lo grande que es la cultura que hay en México.

¿Como ha influido la pandemia en tus creaciones?

Es un parteagüas en mi vida definitivamente, porque como bien sabemos la pandemia vino a cambiar la forma de como vemos al mundo, nos hizo valorar a nuestras familias, al hecho mismo de estar vivos y lo que tenemos porque nos encerramos a estar con nosotros mismos. Ese momento de confinamiento me hizo volver a tomar un pincel y la nueva forma de mostrar al mundo vía redes sociales mi trabajo me hizo que rápidamente me empezaran a seguir de muchas partes del mundo, justo ahora me escriben de Japón, Sydney, Argentina, España, Alemania, Italia, lugares y personas que me alientan a seguir adelante. Así que definitivamente creo que no todo ha sido malo al contrario yo agradezco que sucedió el 2020 fue un año que nos dejó muchas enseñanzas.

¿Qué te sensibiliza?

A partir de este “boom” en mi carrera como pintor, no he dejado de producir intensamente. Ahora la pintura es mi ocupación de tiempo completo, para mi el hiperrealismo no es hacer un simple retrato llano de la realidad, sino darle un significado y un sentido a lo que hago.

Definitivamente lo que me sensibiliza y me gusta mucho es la figura humana, el hiperrealismo, pero no me gusta pintar demasiado real porque, ¿cuál es la diferencia entre una foto y algo que tú hiciste con tus manos? Yo quiero representar la esencia de las personas, incluso sus arrugas o canas. Para mí, cada huella que tiene tu cuerpo representa alguna vivencia, quizá un enojo, una decepción o muchas alegrías, eso se me hace precioso en las personas. Los detalles representan la esencia de cada persona. Cada rasgo es lo que te representa y por eso trato de ser fiel, pero no como una fotografía porque no quiero que mi obra sea aburrida. Si es un retrato fiel, pero con otro enfoque, el del arte, que sea destino a una simple representación”

Yo como también diseñador no sólo trato de crear significado en las pinturas que hago, sino de ir más allá y lograr un mayor alcance con mis obras, dejar un legado a nivel social: “No quiero dejar de lado mis raíces. Yo quiero hacer ver que México es un país rico en cultura con gente valiosa. Que aquí hay calidad en la pintura, un acervo cultural y el potencial para aportar muchísimo al mundo, a la par de cualquier país. Tengo en mente hacer una serie en homenaje a las mujeres, pero no como musas ni como objetos de admiración, sino mujeres que hicieron algo por la sociedad o por el arte. Empecé por Nahui Olin, una persona infravalorada. Ella empezó a modelar, tenía el cabello color naranja, totalmente fuera de su época, es un personaje interesante incluso antes de Frida Kahlo. De hecho, ella conoció a Diego Rivera y a Dr. Atl, que fue quien le dio su nombre. Me gusta darle ese impulso a personas que están olvidadas como Nahui Olin, que poca gente sabe quién es. También me interesa Frida Kahlo porque rompió paradigmas, exploró nuevas cosas y se apasionó por la pintura, ambas son para mí una fuente de inspiración. Por eso les quiero rendir un homenaje, pintarlas muy elaboradas y poner como fondo parte de sus historias con símbolos que representen parte de su vida y mostrar al público quiénes eran ellas”.

Yo no creo en el “hubiera” ni en el tiempo perdido, pues a pesar de que pinto desde hace más de 15 años, recién estoy incursionando en el medio a nivel profesional y para mi este fue el mejor momento que la vida pudo darme para iniciar esta nueva etapa: “La vida por algo te coloca en ciertos lugares, a la mejor tenía que disfrutar mi carrera porque si me hubiera dedicado a la pintura, me hubiera arrepentido de nunca haber ejercido”.

Además de la pintura, has trabajado otras artes plásticas?

Por mi profesión he estado involucrado en todo tipo de proyectos, he hecho dibujo, algo de escultura, mucho diseño, fotografía, temas editoriales y materiales audiovisuales, aunque han tenido mas un enfoque de trabajo siempre busco que lo que sea que pase por mis manos transmita una sensación y cumpla su objetivo.

Contanos un poco las obras que estamos viendo

Bueno tenemos algunas muestras de lo que es mi trabajo y si te das cuenta esta enfocado a la figura humana, hasta ahora he hecho en papalote al gran Maestro Francisco Toledo uno de los más grandes representantes de la pintura mexicana e incansable luchador por darle un lugar al arte de Oaxaca, a Nahui Ollin. Frida Kahlo por mencionar algunos y por otro lado estoy experimentando con técnicas nuevas para mi tal cual pintar efecto agua o la miel sobre el rostro, aclaro que solo es parte de mi proceso no pienso quedarme ahi sino continuar experimentando y creciendo técnica y artísticamente.

Finalmente, el impulso y la buena recepción que han tenido sus obras han cambiado el panorama que tenía sobre el ámbito cultural: “Yo pensaba que no se podía vivir del arte, ahora cambié mi perspectiva. Lo importante es encontrar algo que te apasione. Si lo haces con la pasión necesaria y buscas ser el mejor, claro que puedes vivir de eso y más del arte. Pese a la competencia en el sector, me he topado con cosas padrísimas como el mundo de las galerías y el trabajo de otros artistas. Hay cosas interesantes que se están haciendo en México”.La pintura te da muchas satisfacciones, tanto económicas como emocionales, porque lo que te hace sentir, es impresionante. La pintura me ha cambiado la vida”.

How your interest in art was born?

Since I was a child I have liked art a lot, at that time it was my facility for drawing and I did it all the time, that passion for creating made me study a degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communication, at that time I started taking painting classes In the studio of the painter Hilda Márquez there were my first strokes, although I had never taken a brush in my life, she told me: 'painting is something that you already bring' and suggested that I dedicate myself to it, but at that moment painting was just a hobby for me and I wanted to pursue my career and it has been that way for 15 years.

What factors marked your path?

As I was telling you, although I was passionate about painting, I left it for a long time and it was precisely in 2020 when the pandemic began and therefore the confinement that made me take up the brushes, I began to share my work and there were many people who told me that I should take it as a way of life and I did.

Who are your artistic references?

First of all I have to thank Hilda Márquez who was the one who started me in this beautiful art, then one of the ones that marked me the most was when I met the work of Master Santiago Carbonell, for me one of the best hyperrealists out there and inspired me to orient myself to the human figure.

From there I became passionate about perfecting my way of painting and achieving more depth in the way of working with the skin, I learned the use of colored candles with great masters of hyperrealism such as Omar Ortíz, José Miguel Villalba and Francisco Vázquez the 3 greats Mexican hyper-realistic teachers with whom I took face-to-face seminars and learned a lot.

Which of your works is your favorite? why?

I think that each piece that I make I like more than the previous one because I see an evolution in my work and it allows me to see that if I have been developing my own style, definitely my darling is the Frida that I painted because I applied various styles to create it and it greatly represents culture. from my country not only to her, it has graphic elements that remind me of my roots and with pride I can show the world a little bit of how great the culture is in Mexico.

How has the pandemic influenced your creations?

It is definitely a watershed in my life, because as we well know, the pandemic came to change the way we see the world, it made us value our families, the very fact of being alive and what we have because we lock ourselves up to be with ourselves. . That moment of confinement made me take up a brush again and the new way of showing the world via social networks my work made me quickly start to be followed from many parts of the world, right now they write to me from Japan, Sydney, Argentina, Spain , Germany, Italy, places and people that encourage me to keep going. So I definitely think that not everything has been bad, on the contrary, I am grateful that 2020 happened, it was a year that left us many lessons.

From this “boom” in my career as a painter, I have not stopped producing intensively. Now painting is my full-time occupation, for me hyperrealism is not making a simple plain portrait of reality, but giving meaning and meaning to what I do.

Definitely what sensitizes me and I like a lot is the human figure, hyper-realism, but I don't like to paint too real because, what is the difference between a photo and something that you made with your hands? I want to represent the essence of people, even their wrinkles or gray hair. For me, every trace that your body has represents some experience, perhaps an anger, a disappointment or many joys, that makes me precious in people. The details represent the essence of each person. Each feature is what represents you and that's why I try to be faithful, but not like a photograph because I don't want my work to be boring. If it is a faithful portrait, but with another approach, that of art, that is destined to a simple representation "

As a designer, I not only try to create meaning in the paintings I make, but to go further and achieve a greater scope with my works, to leave a legacy on a social level: “I don't want to put aside my roots. I want to show that Mexico is a country rich in culture with valuable people. That here there is quality in the painting, a cultural heritage and the potential to contribute a lot to the world, on a par with any country. I have in mind to make a series in tribute to women, but not as muses or as objects of admiration, but women who did something for society or for art. I started with Nahui Olin, an underrated person. She started modeling, she had orange hair, totally out of her time, she is an interesting character even before Frida Kahlo. In fact, she met Diego Rivera and Dr. Atl, who was the one who gave her his name. I like to give that impulse to people who are forgotten like Nahui Olin, that few people know who he is. I am also interested in Frida Kahlo because she broke paradigms, explored new things and became passionate about painting, both of which are a source of inspiration for me. That is why I want to pay homage to them, paint them very elaborate and put part of their stories as the background with symbols that represent part of their life and show the public who they were ”.

I do not believe in the "would" or in lost time, because despite the fact that I have been painting for more than 15 years, I am just entering the medium at a professional level and for me this was the best moment that life could give me to start this new stage: "Life for something places you in certain places, maybe I had to enjoy my career because if I had dedicated myself to painting, I would have regretted never having exercised"

Besides painting, have you worked in other plastic arts?

For my profession I have been involved in all kinds of projects, I have done drawing, some sculpture, a lot of design, photography, editorial themes and audiovisual materials, although they have had more of a work approach, I always look for whatever passes through my hands convey a feeling and accomplish your goal.

Tell us a little about the works we are seeing

Well, we have some samples of what my work is and if you realize it is focused on the human figure, until now I have made the great Master Francisco Toledo one of the greatest representatives of Mexican painting and a tireless fighter to give it a place. to the art of Oaxaca, to Nahui Ollin. Frida Kahlo to mention a few and on the other hand I am experimenting with new techniques for me such as painting water or honey effect on the face, I clarify that it is only part of my process I do not intend to stay there but to continue experimenting and growing technically and artistically.

Finally, the impulse and the good reception that his works have had have changed the panorama that he had on the cultural field: “I thought that you could not make a living from art, now I changed my perspective. The important thing is to find something that you are passionate about. If you do it with the necessary passion and you want to be the best, of course you can make a living from that and more from art. Despite the competition in the sector, I have come across some really cool things like the world of galleries and the work of other artists. There are interesting things that are being done in Mexico ”.

Painting gives you many satisfactions, both financial and emotional, because what it makes you feel is impressive. Painting has changed my life ”.
