HOY NOS HABLA DE SU OBRA DANIELA MERENDA

Me inspira el querer decir algo desde lo más profundo de mi ser. Puede ser algo personal o social…lo importante es sentir ésa certeza y ponerme en movimiento

 El arte me ha acompañado en mi proceso de transformación personal y es mi vehículo de expresión…ése que te lleva por lugares  que nunca pensaste.

Como escultora he trabajado con la piedra, el metal, el hielo, el telgopor , pero mis amores son : la cerámica y el Vidrio

La cerámica me permite dar forma con mis manos y modelar tocando ése preciado material…el barro, tan cálido , con tanto color y ésa plasticidad que tiene para expresarse de tantas maneras

El vidrio necesita de otra mirada , otros tiempos, también otro acompañamiento. Pero siempre me impactó su transparencia, ésa que a pesar de tomar diferentes formas sigue ahí implacable. Parece un material frío…pero tiene la huella del fuego que lo modela, que lo abraza y lo templa.

 Art has accompanied me in my personal transformation process and it is my vehicle of expression… the one that takes you to places you never thought of.

As a sculptor I have worked with stone, metal, ice, Styrofoam, but my loves are: ceramics and Glass

Ceramics allow me to shape with my hands and model by touching that precious material ... the clay, so warm, with so much color and that plasticity that it has to express itself in so many ways.

Glass needs another look, other times, also another accompaniment. But I was always impressed by its transparency, the one that despite taking different forms is still there relentlessly. It looks like a cold material ... but it has the imprint of fire that shapes it, embraces it and tempers it.
