Hoy desde la sección artistas del mundo viajamos a Argentina a conocer a Sofia Caccavo

Sofía Caccavo, más conocida como Soca, nació en Mendoza Argentina el 6 de mayo de 1983. Rodeada desde sus inicios de una familia de artistas. Su abuelo Rubén Hoffmann fue un reconocido acuarelista mendocino, su madre Silvia Hoffmann es una respetada artista actualmente, a lo igual que su tío Eduardo Hoffmann. Soca es la tercera de 4 hermanas mujeres, las cuales también se dedican al ámbito artístico.

A lo largo de su vida, Soca siempre se ha sentido fascinada por la pintura y el arte. Su interés por explorar la creatividad, las texturas y los colores son el disparador primordial de su obra, cultivando así, un mundo de ensueño, rodeado de tonalidades vibrantes, manchas y buena energía.

Al completar su carrera de diseño gráfico, Soca se concentró en las artes plásticas, principalmente basada en el arte abstracto. Según ella, el trazo espontáneo y la improvisación son su gran motor. Desde entonces pinta todos los días de su vida, porque para ella el éxito se basa en el oficio. 

Realizó exposiciones en reconocidas Bodegas Mendocinas, Estados Unidos y en espacios Culturales. Pudiendo así, expandir sus obras en diversos países.

Actualmente radicada en Brasil hace varios años, continúa profundizando sus conocimientos a través de técnicas variadas, en especial elementos orgánicos. El tejido de hojas de palmera es uno de sus sellos mas destacados. Rodeada de mar y clima tropical se inspira a diario de la mano de la madre naturaleza.

¿Cuéntanos que es el arte para ti?

El arte es una forma de expresión que nace del alma, que expresa mi ser interior y transmite quien realmente soy a través de colores y formas. 

¿Cómo fueron tus inicios en el arte?

Mis inicios en el arte surgieron desde mi infancia, rodeada de una familia de artistas, rodeada de pinturas en cada rincón de mi casa, es algo natural para mí. 

¿En que te has inspirado?

Me inspira la vida, la naturaleza, la sonrisa de mis hijos, el sonido del mar, la alegría de vivir, la armonía del entorno, el amor. 

¿Cómo influyo en el arte emigrar?

El emigrar me enseña cada día a valorar otras culturas artísticas, aprender de ellas. Valorar el talento de otras raíces.

¿Qué técnicas utilizas para tus obras?

Siempre comienzo mis obras con diversas manchas, de ellas surgen formas que toman total sentido para mí. 

En estos momentos tan duros de la pandemia... ¿Cómo a afectado tu creatividad y profesional

La pandemia me dio aún mas tiempo para explorar mi ser artístico, para enseñarle a mis hijos técnicas de expresión, me dio la oportunidad de pasar literalmente todo el día pintando. 

Sofía Caccavo, better known as Soca, was born in Mendoza, Argentina on May 6, 1983. Surrounded from the beginning by a family of artists, her grandfather Rubén Hoffmann was a renowned Mendoza watercolorist, her mother Silvia Hoffmann is currently a respected artist, a the same as his uncle Eduardo Hoffmann. Soca is the third of 4 female sisters, who are also dedicated to the artistic field.

Throughout her life, Soca has always been fascinated by painting and art. His interest in exploring creativity, textures and colors are the primary trigger of his work, thus cultivating a dream world, surrounded by vibrant tones, stains and good energy.

Upon completing his graphic design career, Soca concentrated on the fine arts, primarily based on abstract art. According to her, spontaneous strokes and improvisation are her great driving force. Since then she paints every day of her life, because for her success is based on the trade. He made exhibitions in renowned Mendoza Wineries, the United States and in Cultural spaces. Thus, being able to expand their works in various countries. Currently based in Brazil several years ago, she continues to deepen her knowledge through various techniques, in special organic elements. Palm leaf weaving is one of its most outstanding hallmarks. Surrounded by the sea and tropical climate, it is inspired daily by the hand of mother nature.

Tell us what is art for you? Art is a form of expression that is born from the soul, that expresses my inner being and transmits who I really am through colors and shapes. How were your beginnings in art? My beginnings in art came from my childhood, surrounded by a family of artists, surrounded by paintings in every corner of my house, it is something natural for me. What has inspired you? I am inspired by life, nature, the smile of my children, the sound of the sea, the joy of living, the harmony of the environment, love. How to influence emigrate art? Emigrating teaches me every day to value other artistic cultures, to learn from them. Value the talent of other roots.

What techniques do you use for your works? I always start my works with various stains, from which shapes emerge that make total sense to me. In these difficult times of the pandemic... How has your creativity and professionalism affected The pandemic gave me even more time to explore my artistic self, to teach my children techniques of expression, it gave me the opportunity to spend literally all day painting.
