 ¿Arte versus Ciencia? 

¿El arte y la ciencia son modalidades opuestas? 

Este pre concepto surge de la sociedad moderna,  donde a las personas les hacen elegir  entre la ciencia o el arte. 

La diferencia entre ambas radica que el arte se supone que es un producto de nuestra imaginación, creatividad o lo estético y la ciencia tiene como objetivo describir el mundo de la forma mas completa o  racional .

Sin embargo el arte y la ciencia están conectadas ya que todos nosotros estamos explorando experiencias para intentar entender la realidad.  Ambas utilizan la creatividad, introducen cambios, innovación, utilizan modelos abstractos para entender el mundo.

Son formas complementarias de explorar el mundo. Los artistas hacen diferentes tipos de descubrimientos sobre la naturaleza   científica

Hoy entrevistamos a Silvana Spagnotto Artista y científica 

¿Cómo llegó a tu vida el arte siendo científica?

Para mi dibujar era un hobbie. Solía dibujar al profesor que dictaba la clase cuando me daba sueño.

En 2012 empecé a pintar con oleo con Graciela Caruso, y luego en cuando me fui a vivir a México empecé a tomar clases de grabado en el TIR. 

¿En qué momento tus dos profesiones se unen? O has logrado hacerlo?

En las muestras de arte y ciencia Periódica y Evolutiva logre combinar arte y ciencia, que fueron muestras colectivas bajo una idea científica, tabla [periódica y teorías de evolución biológica y cultural

¿Qué logro el arte en tu vida?

El arte en mi vida, es un gran cable a tierra

Organizaste hace algún tiempo una muestra en honor al aniversario de la tabla periódica,¿ como surgió la idea y que crees que generó en la gente?

Periódica fue una muestra increíble. Cada artista tomo un elemento de la tabla periódica y creo a partir de ello. Estudió, analizó. El público recibió muy bien la muestra, el día de la inauguración había más de 500 personas. Tuvo gran repercusión.

Evolutiva por otro lado dejo lo suyo también, no tuvimos buen clima el dia que inauguramos, pero igual estuvo muy lindo y los días siguientes mucha gente visito.

¿El arte y la ciencia se entienden como disciplinas opuestas crees que es así?

Arte y ciencia son complementarios, para nada opuestas, sin creatividad no hay ciencia, no hay nuevos conocimientos, sin arte no hay divulgación de la ciencia, siempre hace falta un gráfico, un bosquejo. 

Arte y ciencia es un gran campo para hacer cosas, ojalá pueda seguir gestionando muestras desde ese lugar.

Art vs Science?

Art and science are opposite modes? This preconception arises from modern society, where people are made to choose between science or art.

The difference between the two is that art is supposed to be a product of our imagination, creativity or aesthetics and science aims to describe the world in the most complete or rational way.

However, art and science are connected as all of us are exploring experiences to try to understand reality. Both use creativity, introduce changes, innovation, use abstract models to understand the world.

They are complementary ways of exploring the world. Artists make different kinds of scientific discoveries about nature

Today we interview Silvana Spagnotto Artist and scientist

How did art come into your life as a scientist?

For me drawing was a hobby. I used to draw the teacher who taught the class when I got sleepy.

In 2012 I started painting with oil with Graciela Caruso, and then when I went to live in Mexico I started taking engraving classes at TIR.

At what point do your two professions come together? Or have you managed to do it?

In the Periodic and Evolutionary art and science exhibitions I managed to combine art and science, which were collective exhibitions under a scientific idea, [periodic table and theories of biological and cultural evolution

What did art achieve in your life?

The art in my life, is a great ground wire

Some time ago you organized an exhibition in honor of the anniversary of the periodic table, how did the idea come about and what do you think will end up with people?

Newspaper was an amazing display. Each artist took an element from the periodic table and created from it. He studied, analyzed. The public received the exhibition very well, on the opening day there were more than 500 people. It had a great impact.

On the other hand, evolutionary left its own, we did not have good weather the day we opened, but it was still very nice and the following days many people visited.

Art and science are understood as opposing disciplines, do you think so?

Art and science are complementary, not opposed at all, without creativity there is no science, there is no new knowledge, without art there is no popularization of science, a graphic, a sketch is always needed.

Art and science is a great field to do things, I hope I can continue managing exhibitions from that place.
