Hoy la sección artistas del mundo llega a Argentina para conocer a la artista y fotógrafa 

 Graciela Pérez es mendocina y amante de los colores. Mendoza, es una provincia de Argentina donde se puede disfrutar de los mas maravillosos ocres en otoño. Hay una canción que hace referencia a ello y dice “para quien no ha vivido en Mendoza, otoño son cosas que invento el amor”

Sus padres Carmela y Rafael, hijos de inmigrantes españoles e italianos, son aun agricultores. Por ello desde niña vivió entre viñedos, panes caseros y muchos lugares de gran belleza y de aromas inolvidables que la compañan siempre.

Fue ya en esa época de su niñez que empezó a ver luces y sombras pintando cada lugar

Graciela es madre de 4 hijos y abuela de dos nietitos. Educadora y actualmente jubilada.

La vida la  trajo a vivir hace muchos años a la Patagonia, más precisamente a Neuquén. maravilloso lugar de Argentina. Vive muy cerca de rio Limay quien me ofrece en cada estación preciosos lugares para fotografiar o pintar.

¿Cuándo comenzaste con la fotografía?

Comencé a tomar fotografías con mi primera cámara, ya veinteañera, cuidaba y seleccionaba los momentos que quería guardar (eran momentos de sequía $$ y había que poder revelar aquellos tesoros).. luego vinieron los celulares, posteriormente la réflex!!! Y allí pude hacer tomas buenas y otras muy malas…

¿Qué es ser un buen fotógrafo?

¡Ser un buen fotógrafo es poder lograr capturar ese momento que te emociona! que el contenido de esa foto pueda llegar a iluminar los ojos de quien la ve y disfrutar del momento a través de la toma. No solo de belleza hablo, sino también de que quien vea mis fotos interpreten mis sentires.

¿Desde cuando haces fotografía y que te inspira?

Como ya lo mencioné anteriormente, desde los 23 o 24 años comencé a tomar mis primeras fotos, fue con la compra de una cámara muy pequeña.

Si recuerdo que desde niña miraba todo como si estuviera fotografiando, guardando siempre lugares y momentos, y así los recuerdo.

Me inspira todo lo que de alguna manera moviliza mis sentidos, pueden ser paisajes, mis hijos, mis nietos, mis padres, a veces cuando cocino para los míos. me gusta dejar registro de ello.

¿Qué tipo de fotografía es tu preferida?

Me gusta mucho fotografiar paisajes y mi tierra me da letra a cada paso. Mi país es inmenso y así de inmensa su belleza.

Salgo a caminar a orillas del Limay y en cada salida hago capturas. Cada estación pinta diferente mi lugar. Admito que también me encanta retratar y la macro.

¿Qué mensaje quieres transmitir?

Me gustaría poder trasmitir mi pasión. Tuve un lindo maestro, Omar Marauri, “Omarete” como le decimos, ¡¡un gran, gran fotógrafo!! Apasionado recorre la provincia en su auto amarillo con el logo “Son miradas” y así es, un mismo lugar puede ser interpretado desde distintas miradas. Detrás de cada foto hay una historia que contar

¿Qué hay detrás del trabajo de un fotógrafo y que no se vea?

Detrás del trabajo del fotógrafo hay mucha paciencia y esa sutil habilidad de pintar con luz a través de la cámara. Hay miles de fotos mal logradas, hay un trabajo del manejo de herramientas que te da la cámara y la espera de ese momento del día donde la luz sea la mejor, la apropiada para la toma. Hay mucha pasión.

¿Te gusta controlar todos los parámetros de una foto o es algo que te sale de manera innata y espontánea?

Me gusta mucho la fotografía que surge espontanea. No me gusta retocar mis fotos.

Cuando salgo con la réflex si busco utilizar algunas herramientas que me permite la cámara y así ir mejorando las tomas, pero por lo general salgo poco con la cámara (realidad que no viene al caso comentar) a no ser que salgamos en grupo.

Por ello hago muchas tomas con el celular. Mi próximo objetivo es la compra de una compacta que me permita llevara a todos lados.

¿Cuál ha sido tu reto fotográfico más grande?

El reto mayor que me he propuesto no tiene un día de finalización. La foto 1 lo muestra. Quiero mostrar la esencia y la belleza de las personas en su cotidianidad.

La foto de mi padre volviendo de su finca que ama y lo apasiona, con su sonrisa y su herramienta de trabajo, feliz y integro en su ser. ¡Lo amo! Ese es un gran reto fotográfico.

Esta foto es mi preferida, es la mas elogiada y la que varios artistas plásticos quieren dejar en sus telas.

El reto esta ahí, lograr esa emisión en el otro.Tengo muchísimo que aprender, ¡muchas fotos por tomar!

Me ayuda también las clases de pintura que tomo con Carolina Villa, una artista neuquina que hace hiperrealismo. Aprendí con ella a mirar y ver cuántos colores pinta un momento.

¿Que consejo a alguien que está incursionando en la fotografía?

¡¡Sólo le diría que busque trasmitir lo que le mueve las entrañas!! Que no desista de esa toma que quiere tener, que la busque en distintos momentos hasta lograrla. Serán muchas las que borrara y muchas horas las que le dedicara, pero el placer que genera ver allí, lo que querías mostrar. es maravilloso.

¡La paciencia es importante, y ver que siempre, siempre, a la vuelta de la esquina hay una toma esperándonos!!!

Cuéntanos un poco las fotos que estamos viendo

¡En esta foto esta mi padre! Bello por donde se lo mire. Este es mi reto. ¿¿Se ve su energía?? ¿¿Su felicidad?? ¿Su paz?

¡Aquí una macro! Mostrar esos colores y la calidez del día fue el objetivo. ¡Los cardos son hermosos aun en su sequia!

Lago Espejo Chico sobre la ruta de los 7 lagos. Amanecía, y la bruma sobre el agua le da un especial efecto.

Atardecer tormentoso en El Nihuil. Las tormentas de verano en Mendoza nos dan los más hermosos colores y variadas formas …pero son las más temibles para los agricultores.

Graciela is the mother of 4 children and grandmother of two grandchildren. Educator and currently retired.

Life brought her to live many years ago in Patagonia, more precisely in Neuquén. wonderful place in Argentina. He lives very close to the Limay River, who offers me beautiful places to photograph or paint at each season.

When did you start with photography?

I started taking pictures with my first camera, already in my twenties, I took care of and selected the moments I wanted to save (these were times of drought $$ and it was necessary to be able to reveal those treasures).. then came the cell phones, later the SLR!!! And there I was able to take good shots and some very bad ones…

What is it to be a good photographer?

Being a good photographer is being able to capture that moment that excites you! that the content of that photo can illuminate the eyes of those who see it and enjoy the moment through the shot. I am not only talking about beauty, but also that whoever sees my photos interprets my feelings.

Since when do you do photography and what inspires you?

As I mentioned before, when I was 23 or 24 years old I started taking my first photos, it was with the purchase of a very small camera.

If I remember that since I was a child I looked at everything as if I were photographing, always saving places and moments, and that's how I remember them.

Everything that somehow mobilizes my senses inspires me, it can be landscapes, my children, my grandchildren, my parents, sometimes when I cook for mine. I like to keep a record of it.

What type of photography is your favourite?

I really like photographing landscapes and my land gives me lyrics at every step. My country is immense and its beauty is so immense.

I go for a walk on the banks of the Limay and on each outing I capture. Each season paints my place differently. I admit that I also love shooting and macro.

What message do you want to convey?

I would like to be able to transmit my passion. I had a nice teacher, Omar Marauri, "Omarete" as we call him, a great, great photographer!! Passionate, he travels the province in his yellow car with the logo "Son looks" and that's right, the same place can be interpreted from different perspectives. Behind every photo there is a story to tell

What is behind the work of a photographer and that is not seen?

Behind the work of the photographer there is a lot of patience and that subtle ability to paint with light through the camera. There are thousands of poorly achieved photos, there is a job of managing the tools that the camera gives you and waiting for that moment of the day when the light is the best, the appropriate one for the shot. There is a lot of passion.

Do you like to control all the parameters of a photo or is it something that comes to you innately and spontaneously?

I really like spontaneous photography. I don't like to retouch my photos.

When I go out with the SLR I try to use some tools that the camera allows me and thus improve the shots, but in general I rarely go out with the camera (reality that is pointless to comment) unless we go out in a group.

That's why I take a lot of shots with the cell phone. My next goal is to buy a compact that allows me to take it everywhere.

What has been your biggest photographic challenge?

The biggest challenge that I have set for myself does not have an end day. Photo 1 shows it. I want to show the essence and beauty of people in their daily lives.

The photo of my father returning from his farm that he loves and is passionate about, with his smile and his work tool, happy and integrated in his being. I love him! That is a great photographic challenge.

This photo is my favorite, it is the most praised and the one that several plastic artists want to leave on their canvases.

The challenge is there, to achieve that emission in the other. I have a lot to learn, many photos to take!

The painting classes I take with Carolina Villa, an artist from Neuquén who does hyperrealism, also help me. I learned with her to look and see how many colors a moment paints.

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in photography?

I would only tell him to seek to transmit what moves his guts!! That he does not give up on that shot he wants to have, that he looks for it at different times until he achieves it. There will be many that he will erase and many hours that he will dedicate to it, but the pleasure generated by seeing there, what you wanted to show. it is wonderful.

Patience is important, and seeing that there is always, always, just around the corner there is a shot waiting for us!!!
