Hoy viajamos a San Rafael Mendoza, Argentina, donde conoceremos a una fotógrafa montañista excelente. Nos muestra lugares hermosísimos no visitados casi por el hombre, Vicky Tretop.

Me gustaría hacer una salvedad muy importante; el cóndor andino es una especie representativa de Sudamérica y está considerada un patrimonio cultural y natural del continente. Es una de las aves mas grandes del mundo, sufre una gran amenaza de extinción a nivel mundial, la amenaza es tan importante que la población bajo un 50%.

Vicky colabora activamente en diferentes organizaciones como Programa Conservación Cóndor Andino entre otras.

Hija de un fotógrafo montañés, hoy soy una
más de las personas que toman lo legado intentando apropiarse y hacerlo crecer.
Crecí en Valle Grande ,San Rafael provincia
de Mendoza Argentina, lugar en medio de
la naturaleza con cóndores y montañas, viví gran parte de mi vida alrededor de
la cordillera andinas practicando mi profesión de instructora de esquí y eso
también me llevó a otras montañas por diferentes partes del mundo. La
fotografía siempre ha estado presente en mi vida como una forma de conservar y
atesorar todo lo que mis retinas observaban maravilladas.
Desde hace casi una década me dedico a
hacer de la fotografía una forma de vida.
Siempre siento que soy una afortunada al
poder recorrer nuestra cordillera y llegar a lugares poco conocidos o de
difícil acceso. Es ahí donde intento que mis fotografías sean la forma de
mostrar a los espectadores la belleza y fragilidad de todo lo que nos rodea. La
naturaleza esta siento tan salvajemente impactada por lo humano que es
necesario recordar en cada momento que este hermoso planeta lo tenemos que
legar a futuras generaciones.
Esta selección de fotos de cóndores es
producto de recorrer la montaña durante cinco años y lograr encuentros casuales
con ellos. En su habitad natural y, muchas veces a la misma altura que ellos
vuelas. Ave voladora más grande del mundo en peligro de extinción. Enamorar al
observador de ellas ayudará a que seamos más los que queremos cuidarlas.

I would like to make a very important reference; The Andean condor is a representative species of South America and is considered a cultural and natural heritage of the continent. It is one of the largest birds in the world, it suffers a great threat of extinction worldwide, the threat is so important that there are only 6700 copies left, its population is down 50%.
Vicky actively collaborates in different organizations such as the Andean Condor Conservation Program, among others.

Daughter of a mountain photographer, today I am one of the people who take the legacy trying to appropriate it and make it grow.
I grew up in Valle Grande, San Rafael province of Mendoza Argentina, a place in the middle of nature with condors and mountains, I lived a large part of my life around the Andean mountain range practicing my profession as a ski instructor and that also took me to other mountains for different parts of the world. Photography has always been present in my life as a way to preserve and treasure everything that my retinas observed in wonder.
For almost a decade I have dedicated myself to making photography a way of life.
I always feel that I am lucky to be able to travel through our mountain range and reach places that are little known or difficult to access. This is where I try to make my photographs the way to show viewers the beauty and fragility of everything that surrounds us. Nature is so savagely impacted by what is human that it is necessary to remember at all times that we have to bequeath this beautiful planet to future generations.
This selection of photos of condors is the product of traveling the mountain for five years and having casual encounters with them. In their natural habitat and often at the same height as them you fly. The world's largest flying bird in danger of extinction. Making the observer fall in love with them will help make more of us want to take care of them.
