Espantapájaros

Difunden

terrores nocturnos

esos espantapájaros

de paja 

y rencor...

Sus ojos de paja

eclipsan

las luces de la calle

- donde ellos transitan

surge la oscuridad

Escupen en el suelo

y serpentean

entre arcaicas palabras

de terror

Esos espantapájaros

con rudeza pisan

sobre los pies descalzos

reabriendo las heridas

que el tiempo curó.

SEMBLANZA  DE ISABEL FURINI

Isabel Furini nació en Buenos Aires, Argentina en 1949, pero ser radicó en Brasil. Es educadora y poetisa.  Publicó 35 libros (todos en idioma portugués). Entre los libros de poesía, destacamos “Os Corvos de Van Gogh” (Los Cuervos de Van Gogh), en 2012,  Editoral Instituto Memoria. Sus poemas fueron premiados en Brasil, España y Portugal. En 2018, realizó un Recital de Poesía en la Biblioteca de Burlingame (Burlingame Public Library), Califórnia, USA. En 2015, recibió la “Comenda ordem de Figueiró”, de la Academia Virtual de Letras Artes y Cultura del Brasil.En 2019, recibió la Medalla Mujeres de las Letras - Premio de la editora Litere-se. Fue convidada a dictar conferencias en la Feria Internacional del Libro de Foz de Iguazú, y en la Férias del Libro de Curitiba,  Campo Mourão, Machadinho y otras. Organizó la antología “Los sueños de los espejos”, lanzada en mayo 2022.

Scarecrow

Spread

night terrors

those scarecrows

straw

and grudge...

his straw eyes

outshine

the street lights

- where they transit

darkness arises

spit it on the ground

and meandering

between archaic words

Horror

those scarecrows

they roughly tread

on bare feet

reopening the wounds

that time healed.

PROFILE OF ISABEL FURINI

Isabel Furini was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1949, but was based in Brazil. She is an educator and a poet. He published 35 books (all in Portuguese language). Among the poetry books, we highlight “Os Corvos de Van Gogh”, in 2012, Editorial Instituto Memoria. His poems were awarded in Brazil, Spain and Portugal. In 2018, he held a Poetry Recital at the Burlingame Public Library, California, USA. In 2015, he received the “Comenda ordem de Figueiró”, from the Brazilian Virtual Academy of Letters, Arts and Culture. In 2019, she received the Women of Letters Medal - Litere-se Publisher Award. She was invited to give lectures at the Foz de Iguazú International Book Fair, and at the Curitiba, Campo Mourão, Machadinho and other Book Fairs. He organized the anthology “The dreams of mirrors”, released in May 2022.
