ARTISTAS DEL MUNDO - CUBA Eberth Pérez 

Eberth Pérez es un artista de las Artes Plásticas o Visuales. Nacido en la Ciudad de La Habana en 1972 y nacionalizado en U.S.A., ha logrado recorrer una apasionante trayectoria para la elaboración de su obra.

 Gracias al apoyo de su familia principalmente, desde muy joven Eberth pudo desarrollar su vocación en varias academias de Arte de su ciudad natal, lo cual le permitió ejercer diferentes experiencias laborales vinculadas a las Artes Visuales. La particularidad de su vocación y de su obra reside en el fin principal de testimoniar que la actividad creativa del hombre se realiza y se comprende cabalmente cuando el artista representa la REALIDAD con una actitud de lealtad, respeto y aprecio por la esencia existencial de la misma.

Eberth es un creador que intenta comunicar a través de su Arte los principios que elevan  al hombre hacia su plenitud: El Amor, la Paz, la Verdad, la Justicia, la Generosidad, la Humildad Espiritual y sobre todo la que más califica sus obras: la Belleza. Como él  mismo lo ha expresado: “La Belleza no es un concepto relativo, que varía de acuerdo al estado emocional del hombre. La Belleza es una realidad objetiva y se puede definir como la capacidad que provoca en el hombre la contemplación, el reconocimiento y la admiración hacia la Creación Natural que le rodea. Un árbol, una flor, las montañas, cada amanecer… todo elemento de la naturaleza es único, y al ser creado es bello en su particularidad. Sólo la obra del hombre puede alejarse de la belleza y acercarse a la fealdad, en tanto niegue valorar la armonía natural. Por eso, en la medida que un artista intenta representar la realidad que le entorna con minuciosa fidelidad a su esencia, estará logrando una creación auténticamente bella”. Para Eberth, la vocación artística trasciende la naturaleza orgánica y racional del hombre, lo conduce a un estado de conciencia superior, lo hace un ser creativo ante sí mismo y ante sus semejantes.

Eberth define su estilo como "Realismo Lírico", utilizando las técnicas de pintura al óleo y el dibujo. Entre las series que ha desarrollado cuenta la recreación de obras clásicas de la Antigüedad Grecolatina, y la representación de objetos y elementos de la Naturaleza como animales y flores. Cada obra es como un poema, tiene su propio título, el cual sería imprescindible conocer para poder comprender el mensaje que nos expresa este artista. 

Otra de las series está dedicada a revalorizar el Retrato Humano, un género artístico muy subestimado dada la desmedida intención comercialista a que ha sido sometido. El interés principal de Eberth es destacar el carácter emocional de la persona. Partiendo de fotografías tomadas en alta resolución por el mismo artista, el trabajo consiste en volver a recrearlas generando una Obra de Arte. Como él lo expresa: “Con mis Retratos no intento copiar la foto de una persona, sino representarla, produciendo una imagen artística, nueva y única; para lo cual, las técnicas del dibujo y la pintura al óleo  exigen virtuosismo y  habilidad minuciosa”.

Eberth Pérez is an artist of the Plastic or Visual Arts. Born in the City of Havana in 1972 and nationalized in the U.S.A., he has managed to travel an exciting path for the elaboration of his work. Thanks mainly to the support of his family, from a very young age Eberth was able to develop his vocation in various art academies in his hometown, which allowed him to have different work experiences linked to the Visual Arts. The particularity of his vocation and his work resides in the main purpose of testifying that the creative activity of man is realized and fully understood when the artist represents REALITY with an attitude of loyalty, respect and appreciation for its existential essence. 

Eberth is a creator who tries to communicate through his Art the principles that elevate man towards his fullness: Love, Peace, Truth, Justice, Generosity, Spiritual Humility and above all the one that most qualifies his works: the beauty. As he himself has expressed: “Beauty is not a relative concept, which varies according to the emotional state of man. Beauty is an objective reality and can be defined as the capacity that provokes in man the contemplation, recognition and admiration towards the Natural Creation that surrounds him. A tree, a flower, the mountains, each sunrise... every element of nature is unique, and when created it is beautiful in its particularity. Only the work of man can move away from beauty and approach ugliness, as long as it denies valuing natural harmony. Therefore, to the extent that an artist tries to represent the reality that surrounds him with meticulous fidelity to his essence, he will be achieving a truly beautiful creation. For Eberth, the artistic vocation transcends the organic and rational nature of man, leads him to a higher state of consciousness, makes him a creative being before himself and before his fellow men.

Eberth defines his style as "Lyrical Realism", using the techniques of oil painting and drawing. Among the series he has developed is the recreation of classic works from Greco-Latin Antiquity, and the representation of objects and elements of Nature such as animals and flowers. Each work is like a poem, it has its own title, which it would be essential to know in order to understand the message that this artist expresses to us.

Another of the series is dedicated to revaluing the Human Portrait, a highly underestimated artistic genre given the excessive commercial intent to which it has been subjected. Eberth's main interest is to highlight the emotional character of the person. Starting from photographs taken in high resolution by the same artist, the work consists of recreating them again, generating a Work of Art. As he expresses it: “With my Portraits I do not try to copy the photo of a person, but to represent it, producing an artistic, new and unique image; for which, the techniques of drawing and oil painting require virtuosity and meticulous skill”.
