 Artistas mujeres olvidadas Elisabetta Sirani 

Elisabetta fue una pintora italiana de estilo barroco. Se cree que fue una de las primeras mujeres en pintar en proyectos internacionales. Debido a su muerta tan temparana con solo 27 años, provoco que su carrera quedara trunca.

Su padre fue Giovanni Andrea Sirani , un gran ayudante del maestro Guido Reni. Debido a su condición de mujer no pudo estudiar  en academias artísticas, formándose en el taller de su padre.

Hacia el año 1650 se inicia en la pintura, con ayuda de su futuro biógrafo, el conde Carlo Cesare Malvasia. Una de sus obras mas reconocidas San Jerónimo en el desierto de la Pinacoteca Nazionale de Bolonia. Su carrera profesional como pintora en el año 1657 con solo 19 años y con el tiempo participo en el taller familiar debido a la enfermedad de su padre.

Su producción esta relacionada con pinturas religiosas como la de la Virgen con el Niño y la Sagrada Familia

La muerte de la pintora fue muy extraña ya que la criada fue acusada de haberla envenenada, pero fue absuelta ya que  la autopsia  revelo que padecía de ulceras de estomago.

Elisabetta was an Italian painter of the Baroque style. It is believed that she was one of the first women to paint on international projects. Due to his death so early at age 27, it caused his career to have no recognition.

His father was Giovanni Andrea Sirani, a great assistant to the master Guido Reni. Due to her condition as a woman, she could not study in artistic academies, training in her father's workshop

Around the year 1650 he began painting, with the help of his future biographer, Count Carlo Cesare Malvasia. One of his most recognized works Saint Jerome in the desert of the Pinacoteca Nazionale de Bologna. her professional career as a painter in 1657 when she was only 19 years old and over time she participated in the family workshop due to her father's illness.

His production is related to religious paintings such as the Virgin with the Child and the Holy Family.

His death of the painter was very strange since the maid was accused of having poisoned her, but she was acquitted since the autopsy revealed that she suffered from stomach ulcers.
