5TO ELEMENTO

Muestra Colectiva de Fotografía 

Se realizó la Inauguración de la muestra el día 27 de octubre a las 20 hs, en la Sala de Exposiciones Centro Documental José Luis Cano, del Municipio de Algeciras.

Eliana Olea es directora de la Galería de Arte Patagonia y de la revista española AWEN Magazine. Trabajadora incansable, dedicada al Arte en todas sus expresiones y dimensiones.  

El papel del curador de arte requiere conocimientos técnicos y de gestión, pero también creatividad y audacia. Cualidades que le sobran a Eliana.  

Entre las tantas funciones del Curador, como la Concepción, Organización, Supervisión y Realización.

 ¿Cómo fue para usted semejante tarea?  

5to elemento es un proyecto que tiene mucho tiempo de preparación, de trabajo, siempre pensando en poder generar una muestra que fuera atractivo tanto para los artistas como para el publico que lo visita.

¿Nos podrías contar sobre esta muestra fotográfica en particular?

 Es una exposición que creamos con mi pareja Víctor Bande en pandemia, pensando en las dificultades que atraviesan los artistas latinos y la poca visibilidad que tiene para mostrar sus obras en Europa. 

La llamamos 5to elemento, en homenaje al artista que con su capacidad creativa e imaginación  transforma los recursos que tiene para crear su obra de arte. El 5to elemento es el artista. El arte es una de las mejores herramientas que tenemos para mejorar el mundo en el que vivimos...

Elegí 6 artistas argentinos. Que exponen 4 obras inspiradas en el agua, aire, fuego y tierra. Cada uno de ellos tiene su propio estilo, cada fotografía  cuenta una historia, transmite un mensaje del elemento que representa. Es una exposición muy armónica que muestra  paisajes de Argentina.

Esta exposición tiene la particularidad que va a verse en varios municipios de Andalucía.

¿Qué representa para vos ser la curadora de una muestra fotográfica de estas características?  

El 5to elemento es mi primer proyecto real, ya que he realizado gestiones artísticas anteriormente pero siempre virtuales. Es la posibilidad de plasmar el proyecto y el trabajo de 6 artistas totalmente diferentes. Estoy muy feliz. Es una gran oportunidad. 

¿Quiénes exponen en la muestra el 5to ELEMENTO?  

Los artistas que participan son Cecilia Mazurenco, Teresa Lorenzoni, Graciela Pérez, Sergio López Omar Maraury y Federico Eiras. Estoy muy agradecida porque confiaron en este proyecto. 

¿Qué significa presentar tu trabajo en el Ayuntamiento de Algeciras España?  

Una oportunidad muy importante… no solo para mi como curadora, sino para los 6 artistas. Algeciras es un municipio de Cádiz que promueve  mucho el arte y actividad cultural.  Quiero agradecer a Pilar Pintor, segunda teniente de alcalde y delegada de cultura y patrimonio histórico y a Mayte Escudero, Galerista de las salas de arte Cultura del ayuntamiento de Algeciras 

¿Qué sueña Eliana como Curadora de Arte?  

… sueño con poder ser curadora del Prado … algo más realista con poder abrir mi galería de arte y ayudar a los artistas Latinoamericanos.  

En el caso de una exposición, el curador es el que concebirá la temática y todas las etapas, desde el montaje hasta su realización final. ¿Serías un 5to ELEMENTO fundamental en esta muestra?  

Es un honor que 6 artistas confíen en mi y en la propuesta, solo soy el 7 elemento teniendo en cuenta a los 6 artistas que son los protagonistas  

 5TH ELEMENT Collective Photography Exhibition

The Inauguration of the exhibition took place on October 27 at 8 p.m., in the José Luis Cano Documentary Center Exhibition Hall, in the Municipality of Algeciras.

Eliana Olea is director of the Patagonia Art Gallery and the Spanish magazine AWEN Magazine. Tireless worker, dedicated to Art in all its expressions and dimensions.

The role of art curator requires technical and management knowledge, but also creativity and audacity. Qualities that Eliana has plenty of.

Among the many functions of the Curator, such as Conception, Organization, Supervision and Realization.

 What was such a task like for you?

5th element is a project that takes a long time to prepare, always thinking about being able to generate a project that would be attractive to both the artists and the public that visits it.

Could you tell us about this particular photographic exhibition?

 It is an exhibition that I created with my partner Víctor Bande in a pandemic, thinking about the difficulties that Latin artists are going through and the little visibility they have to show their works in Europe. We call it the 5th element, in tribute to the artist who with his ability transforms the resources he has to create his work of art. The 5th element is the artist. I chose 6 Argentine artists. They exhibit 4 works inspired by water, air, fire and earth. This exhibition has the particularity that it will be seen in several municipalities in Andalusia.

What does it mean to you to be the curator of a photographic exhibition of these characteristics?

The 5th element is my first real project, since I have previously carried out artistic efforts but virtual ones. It is the possibility of capturing the project and work of 6 totally different artists. I'm very happy. It's a great opportunity.

Who exhibits the 5th ELEMENT in the exhibition?

The artists participating are Cecilia Mazurenco, Teresa Lorenzoni, Graciela Pérez, Sergio López Omar Maraury and Federico Eiras. I am very grateful because they trusted this project.

What does it mean to present your work at the Algeciras City Council Spain?

A very important opportunity… not only for me as curator, but for the 6 artists. Algeciras is a municipality of Cádiz that greatly promotes art and cultural activity. I want to thank Pilar Pintor, second deputy mayor and delegate of culture and historical heritage and Mayte Escudero, Gallery owner of the Culture art rooms of the Algeciras city council

What does Eliana dream of as an Art Curator?

… I dream of being able to be a curator at the Prado … something more realistic about being able to open my art gallery and help Latin American artists.

In the case of an exhibition, the curator is the one who will conceive the theme and all the stages, from the assembly to its final realization. Would you be a fundamental 5th ELEMENT in this sample?

It is an honor that 6 artists trust me and the proposal, I am only the 7th element taking into account the 6 artists who are the protagonists
