Desde la sección Artistas del Mundo viajamos a Argentina
Nace en Córdoba, Argentina en 1966, curso estudios universitarios de Ingeniería los que deja incompletos para ingresar a la Escuela Superior de Artes Emilio Caraffa en la Ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina.
Desde 1991, año de su primera exposición, participa en
innumerables muestras individuales y colectivas, en su país de origen y en
otros países (Brasil, Uruguay y Chile)
¿Cómo nace el arte en su vida?
Mi interés por hacer arte nace en mí, ya de grande, cuando tenía aproximadamente 20 años de alguna manera cae en mis manos una reproducción de "Campo de trigo con cuervos" de Van Gogh y pensé, yo puedo hacer esto y desde entonces comencé mi investigación y estudios sobre técnicas, materiales, estilos, corrientes artísticas, etc.
¿Recuerdas su primer dibujo?
Mis primeros dibujos
cuando era niño eran los del "Pato Donald de Disney" y los coloreaba
con temperas.
¿Quiénes son tus referentes artísticos?
Mis referentes artísticos son, ya mencioné Van Gogh, también los
impresionistas Monet, Pissarro, Sisley, Degas. Y también los románticos
ingleses Constamble y Turner. Y esta bien no puedo dejar de mencionar al pintor
español Sorolla.
¿Cómo ha influido la pandemia en tus creaciones?
Trate de que la pandemia no influyera en mi trabajo artístico, solo que como no podía salir, cambié los paisajes por desnudos femeninos y retratos en grafito.
¿Qué técnicas te gusta utilizar o materiales?
Empecé pintando con
óleos y espátula pero gradualmente he adoptado los pinceles y la pintura
acrílica.
Contanos sobre tus proyectos para este año.
Para este año y principios del otro tengo proyectadas
algunas exposiciones aquí en el país donde estoy radicado desde hace 20 años
(El Salvador Centro América, yo soy argentino de la provincia de Córdoba) y también
dar clases de pintura.
Contanos un poco las obras que estamos viendo
Con respecto a la obra que aquí se reproduce los retratos y desnudos pertenecen al período de la cuarenta. En la demás, son obras en donde trato de capturar el color y la luz de este lugar tropical en donde vivo.

How was art born in your life?
My interest in making art was born in me, when I was about 20 years old, somehow a reproduction of Van Gogh's "Wheat Field with Crows" fell into my hands and I thought, I can do this and since then I started my research and studies on techniques, materials, styles, artistic trends, etc.
Do you remember his first drawing?
My first drawings as a child were those of "Disney's Donald Duck" and I colored them with tempera.
Who are your artistic references?
My artistic references are, I already mentioned Van Gogh, also the impressionists Monet, Pissarro, Sisley, Degas. And also the English romantics Constamble and Turner. And this well I cannot fail to mention the Spanish painter Sorolla.
How has the pandemic influenced your creations?
Try not to let the pandemic influence my artistic work, only that since I couldn't get out, I changed the landscapes for female nudes and graphite portraits.
What techniques do you like to use or materials?
I started painting with oils and a spatula but gradually I have adopted brushes and acrylic paint.
Tell us about your projects for this year.
For this year and the beginning of the other, I have planned some exhibitions here in the country where I have been based for 20 years (El Salvador Central America, I am an Argentine from the province of Córdoba) and also give painting classes.
Tell us a little about the works we are seeing
Regarding the work reproduced here, the portraits and nudes belong to the 1940s period. In the rest, they are works where I try to capture the color and light of this tropical place where I live.
