HOY NOS HABLA DE SU OBRA -Jemibol Rivas

Hoy desde la sección Hablemos de la obra, Jemibol Rivas nos cuenta sobre su obra de arte.

Mi trabajo actual consiste en un concepto que llamo “UNIDAD”; armonía entre la razón y lo sublime. La belleza como medio de expresión y comprensión del universo y de nosotros mismos. La obra es tridimensional “aérea” de colores contrastantes que penden de un hilo transparente, creando la ilusión de flotar como puntos en el aire, dando un efecto de volúmenes fragmentados en discos de los que se desprende una línea. Siguiendo el principio de las partículas, átomos y moléculas que se agrupan para dar forma a todo cuanto existe.

La armonía establece la norma en una danza que da forma al universo mismo. Ondas de energía, partículas, o células en todos está presente la armonía y en su conjunción la grandeza del universo y la vida misma.

“El principio divino, en general, debe ser concebido como la unidad del elemento natural y del elemento espiritual: estos dos elementos constituyen lo absoluto, y solo las diferentes maneras en que se representa esta armonía explican la marcha progresiva de las formas artísticas y de las religiones”-Hegel-

En el trabajo está presente una fuerte carga geométrica por medio del circulo y en su conjunto tiende a ser orgánica son esculturas con un fuerte trabajo pictórico, a la vez son una suerte de mini instalaciones.

“Cuando cultivamos nuestras facultades estéticas, cultivamos nuestras facultades morales, tanto así que la educación estética hace superflua una educación moral” –Shaftesbury-.

My current work consists of a concept that I call "UNITY"; harmony between reason and the sublime. Beauty as a means of expression and understanding of the universe and of ourselves. The work is three-dimensional "aerial" of contrasting colors that hang from a transparent thread, creating the illusion of floating like points in the air, giving an effect of fragmented volumes in discs from which a line emerges. Following the principle of particles, atoms and molecules that are grouped together to give shape to everything that exists.

Harmony sets the standard in a dance that shapes the universe itself. Energy waves, particles, or cells, harmony is present in all, and in their conjunction the greatness of the universe and life itself.

“The divine principle, in general, must be conceived as the unity of the natural element and the spiritual element: these two elements constitute the absolute, and only the different ways in which this harmony is represented explain the progressive march of artistic forms and of religions ”-Hegel-

A strong geometric load is present in the work through the circle and as a whole it tends to be organic. They are sculptures with a strong pictorial work, at the same time they are a kind of mini installations.

"When we cultivate our aesthetic faculties, we cultivate our moral faculties, so much so that aesthetic education makes a moral education superfluous" -Shaftesbury-.
